What to expect:
COVID-19 Testing at KCHD is done using a saliva test. What does this mean?
- Patients can NOT have anything to eat or drink OR have products in their mouth, such as gum or chewing tobacco, for 30 minutes prior to testing.
- If you choose to not follow these guidelines, your results could come back as "indeterminate" and patients will need to get tested again.
- Those who do not follow this guidance will need to wait on site in order to clear their mouths and get accurate results.
