Starting Jan. 1, 2025, the Tennessee Department of Health has moved toward respiratory viral illness surveillance and response. COVID-19 has been removed from laboratory reporting and updated for provider reporting to include only COVID-19-associated deaths in children under 18 years old. Stay up-to-date on current respiratory virus trends and recommendations at www.tn.gov/health/rvi.
The CDC maintains the COVID-19 Data Tracker that is updated weekly and has a range of national and state-level data including test positivity trends, emergency department visits, severe outcome indicators such as hospitalizations and deaths, vaccination coverage, wastewater surveillance, and information about variants.
